Homes & Hearts: Volunteering with a Purpose

The Tony Carletello Team believes that being part of a community means more than just helping people find their dream homes—it also means giving back to the places we live and work. That’s why every month, our team chooses a nonprofit organization in one of the counties we serve and dedicates a day to volunteering.

This April, we had the privilege of spending the day at the Cheatham County Animal Control Shelter. This shelter does incredible work rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for animals in need. They’re often the last hope for pets who have nowhere else to go—and their dedication to the animals they serve is nothing short of inspiring.

We were thrilled to have a fantastic group of teammates, clients, family members, and friends join us for a day of giving back. Together, we walked dogs, socialized cats, organized donation supplies, cleaned and sterilized crates in preparation for future surgeries, and even planted a fresh herb garden to brighten the space and support staff wellness. It was a day full of teamwork, compassion, and a shared love for animals. Giving back like this reminds us that small actions—when done together—can make a real difference. Volunteering is more than just a good deed; it’s an opportunity to connect with others, support organizations doing vital work, and strengthen the communities we care about.
